setting up easy

From your first photo to your first morning.

Easy is software only: a photo of your deck, the loungers dragged where they really are, a printed QR label on each one. Nine steps, an afternoon, no installers. Easy is open to a limited number of founding design partners for the first season.

Apply for a place

short answer
Tell us about the property: who you are, the pool, the country, roughly how many loungers and what system you run at the front desk. No account, no card, no call.
A short application form filled in on a phone
what you do
  • Fill in the short form and send it.
  • Watch for our email; every application is read by a person.
why this step matters

Easy is open to a limited number of founding design partners for the first season, so places are taken one property at a time.

From the deck: Use the email address the person who will run the deck actually reads. The account is tied to it.

2
the approval email
2 minutes

Get your place and create your account

short answer
When your property is accepted you get an email with a button. It opens the sign-up page with your details already filled in. You choose a password and you are in.
An approval email with a sign-up button
what you do
  • Open the email and press the button.
  • Set a password. Your property name, country and size are already there.
why this step matters

Only an email address we have approved can create an account, so nobody else can open a deck in your property's name.

3
your portal, add pool
1 minute

Create your pool

short answer
Name the pool the way your guests name it. Main pool, adults pool, beach club. The moment you save it, the pool has its own guest web address.
A pool with a name and its own guest link
what you do
  • Name the pool, pick the type and the country.
  • Drag the slider to roughly the number of loungers.
  • Copy the guest link. It is yours from this second on.
why this step matters

A property with two pools runs two decks, two links and two sets of labels. Keeping them apart from the start saves untangling them in July.

4
deck studio, step 1
10 minutes

Photograph the deck

short answer
One photo of the deck from above, taken from a balcony, a roof, a stairwell or a drone if you have one. Empty deck, morning light, the whole pool in frame.
A photo of the deck taken from above and uploaded
what you do
  • Take the photo with the pool roughly centred and the deck edges visible.
  • Upload it in the deck studio and nudge it until it sits square.
why this step matters

Guests recognise their own pool instantly. A photo of your deck beats any drawn floor plan, because a guest reads it the way they read the deck itself.

From the deck: Shoot before the loungers are dressed. Bare frames are easier to line up than a deck of white towels.

5
deck studio, step 2
20 minutes for 60 beds

Put the loungers where they really are

short answer
Drop a lounger onto the photo and drag it onto the real one. Repeat along the row. Numbers come with them, so bed 14 on the screen is bed 14 on the deck.
Loungers dragged into place on the photo
what you do
  • Place the front row first, then work back.
  • Add parasols and tables where the deck has them.
  • Save. Save again as a version once the layout looks right.
why this step matters

This map is what your guests book from, what your team works from and what the printed labels point at. It is the one thing worth doing carefully.

From the deck: If you rearrange the deck for the season, move the beds here too and save a new version. The old one stays, so you can go back.

6
deck studio, step 3
10 minutes

Set your zones and your rules

short answer
Front row, shaded side, family corner, adults only. Each zone can be free or carry a price, and you set how long a guest has to arrive before the lounger goes back to the deck.
The deck split into a front row, a shaded zone and a family zone
what you do
  • Draw the zones your deck already has in practice.
  • Set the arrival window. Most properties start at 30 minutes.
  • Decide which zones, if any, are paid.
why this step matters

The arrival window is the whole point. A guest who claims and does not come loses the lounger automatically, and no member of your team has to remove a towel.

7
labels
30 minutes for 60 beds

Print and stick the labels

short answer
The label centre prints a sheet with one QR sticker per lounger, numbered to match the map. Stick one on each lounger, somewhere a seated guest can reach.
A printed sheet of QR labels, one for each lounger
what you do
  • Print on weatherproof label sheets, or print and laminate.
  • Work along one row at a time so numbers stay in order.
  • Scan two or three with a phone before you walk away.
why this step matters

Scanning the label at the lounger is how a guest proves they arrived. That is what makes a claim worth anything to the next guest waiting.

From the deck: Print five spares. Sun, chlorine and enthusiastic cleaning take a few every season.

tell everyone
15 minutes

Tell your guests and your team

short answer
Three places, before the first morning: a sign at the pool entrance with the QR code, a line in the room or on the room card, and a short briefing for the pool team.
A poolside sign, a room card and a team briefing
what you do
  • Print the poolside sign from the setup step.
  • Add the guest link to the room card or the welcome email.
  • Show the team the deck console on a phone and let them try it.
why this step matters

The pool sunbed wars end when guests believe the new rule is real. They believe it when they read it in three places before they reach a lounger.

2 minutes

Go live

short answer
Start your pilot or settle the season licence and the deck opens. Your guest link starts working the second you press it.
The deck switched on for the season
what you do
  • Check the summary: beds placed, labels printed, guests and team told.
  • Open the deck.
  • Scan your own QR sign as a guest and walk the whole flow once.
why this step matters

Everything before this is preparation you can redo as many times as you like. Going live is the only step guests can see.

the first morning

What happens once the deck is open

The full round trip, from the QR code on the sign to the last water brought out at four in the afternoon.

A guest claims a lounger, then confirms arrival at the lounger

What the guest does

  • Scans the QR code on the pool sign, the room card or the lounger itself. No app, no account.
  • Sees your deck, with the loungers that are free right now, and picks one. A group picks loungers that sit together.
  • Reads the arrival window on the screen before committing, so the rule is visible at the moment of the decision.
  • Walks to the lounger and scans the label on it to confirm arrival.
  • Asks for what they want from the same screen: towels, water, food and drink, a parasol opened, a table brought over.
Towel, water, food and parasol requests arriving with a lounger number

What your team sees

  • A live deck on a phone: free, claimed, arrived, overdue, out of service.
  • A waitlist in order, with the claims that are about to expire at the top.
  • Every towel, water, food or parasol request with the lounger number already attached, so nobody walks the deck asking who ordered what.
  • One tap to confirm a guest who has no phone, to free a lounger, or to take one out of service.
  • A claim nobody honours releases itself at the end of the window. No confrontation, no towel removed by hand.

Before you open: the checklist

  • A photo of the deck from above
  • Every lounger placed and numbered on that photo
  • Zones drawn and the arrival window set
  • QR labels printed, stuck and test scanned
  • A poolside sign at the pool entrance
  • The guest link on the room card or in the welcome email
  • Your pool team shown the deck console on their own phones

Common questions

How long does the whole thing take?
An afternoon for a 60 lounger deck: about ten minutes for the photo, twenty to place the beds, half an hour to print and stick the labels, and the rest on zones, signs and telling the team.
Do we need to install anything?
No. Easy is software only. No markers, no gateways, no installers on site, nothing to mount and nothing to charge. Guests use the web page their phone already has.
What if we move the furniture?
Open the deck studio, drag the loungers to where they now are and save. The guest map, the team console and the labels all follow the same saved layout.
What about a guest without a phone?
Your team claims, confirms or releases any lounger for them from the console, and the guest can pick the claim up later with a surname and a room number.
Are guests being watched?
No. There are no cameras, no pressure pads and no occupancy sensors anywhere in the system. It tracks claims and furniture, so it cannot tell you whether anyone is sitting down.
Can we move to Pro later?
Yes, and nothing is redrawn. Pro is patent pending and has no launch date, because the patent office does not commit to one. When it is ready, your deck, your zones and your numbering carry across.

SunDibs is in its first pilot season. Where this page gives a number, it is either sourced or labelled as a target.
