Two ways to run SunDibs.
Easy starts today, for a limited number of founding design partners this first season. No hardware, no installers, no procurement. Pro adds markers when you want the map to look after itself, and Pro is patent pending with no launch date.
Live by this afternoon. No hardware, no installers.
Upload a photo of your deck, draw your loungers on the map, print the labels, and open for Dibs. That is the whole setup.
- step 01
Draw your deck
Upload an overhead photo. Place a dot on each lounger. The system numbers them and maps who can sit next to whom.
- step 02
Print and stick
Print a label set. Each label carries the lounger number and a QR code. Stick one on each lounger frame. Done.
- step 03
Open for dibs
Guests pin from their room, breakfast or the lobby. They arrive, scan the label at their bed, and their spot confirms.
- step 04
Raise a hand without raising your voice
From the same app, a guest asks for a fresh towel or calls the bar over for an order. The request lands on the deck team's screen with the lounger number attached, so nobody hunts for a waiter and nobody waves at the horizon.
Roughly ninety minutes, done by your pool manager. No cables, no installers, no IT sign-off. Walking the deck to place the labels is also the final check that the map matches reality.
What Easy includes.
A complete product, not a stripped-down demo. Everything below runs without a single physical marker on the deck.
- guest web app opened by QR on the room card, no app store install
- live pool map showing what is available, pinned or confirmed
- group booking that finds contiguous adjacent loungers
- arrival window with a reminder push before the deadline
- staff dashboard: today, dib list, map, guests, reports, team
- automatic no-show release, with no staff involvement
- extend a window, confirm on a guest's behalf, mark a lounger out of service
- append-only audit log of every action on the deck
- premium zones with per-lounger pricing
- charges posted straight to the PMS folio
- shift pricing for morning and afternoon rates
- loyalty segment discounts and complimentary access for VIPs
Where Easy works best.
Easy uses the morning reset to keep the map current. When a lounger is moved during the day and not returned to its position, the map is temporarily wrong for that lounger. On a well-managed deck this gap is small. On a chaotic sea-day cruise deck, it is not.
Arrival confirmation via QR also proves a code was scanned, not that a body is on the lounger. SunDibs applies a coarse location check to reduce abuse, and the pattern is visible in your reports. The NFC tap in Pro closes that gap entirely.
Need the map to correct itself when furniture moves? That is Pro.

When you want the map to look after itself.
Every lounger carries a solar-powered marker. A gateway sits at the poolside. The deck draws its own map from the signal pattern between markers, corrects itself when furniture is moved, and keeps running when the wifi does not.
- solar powered, charges itself in daylight
- Bluetooth Low Energy radio for neighbour sensing
- passive NFC target, powered by the guest's phone at the tap
- IP68 rated, epoxy sealed for marine environments
- expected lifetime 5+ years
- one per lounger, one per parasol if you want parasol tracking
- one small poolside enclosure per pool
- connects to the hotel wifi
- enforces arrival windows and deadline expiry locally when wifi is unavailable
- reconciles with the cloud automatically once connectivity returns
Setup, step by step.
- step 01
Mount the markers
One marker per lounger, on the lower frame rail or a dedicated slot. The same spot the Easy label occupies. Scan the serial as you mount to link it to the lounger.
- step 02
Place the gateway
One small weatherproof enclosure per pool, on Power over Ethernet or a compact adapter. It joins the hotel wifi.
- step 03
Let the deck map itself
Over the first fifteen to thirty minutes the markers find their neighbours by radio signal strength and the adjacency graph builds itself. An existing Easy layout can be kept as a starting template.
- step 04
Self-test and go
The gateway runs its self-test and the staff dashboard shows every marker online, with battery and health per lounger.
- step 05
Raise a hand without raising your voice
Guests ask for a towel or call the bar over from the same app. The marker means the request arrives with the exact lounger already attached, so the runner walks straight to it.
What Pro adds over Easy.
Self-correcting map
Move a lounger and its marker notices its neighbours have changed. The graph updates on its own, so map accuracy no longer depends on the morning reset.
NFC tap to confirm
The guest taps their phone to the marker on their lounger, which proves physical contact. The arrival code rolls every five seconds, so replaying a code from earlier in the day fails.
Shade forecasting
The marker's solar panel current drops when shadow falls across it. SunDibs classifies each lounger hour by hour, and guests book by shade preference.
Offline deadline enforcement
When the hotel internet drops, the gateway keeps expiring and releasing dibs on its own clock and last-known state, then reconciles quietly when the line returns.
Nocturnal inventory check
Markers report position and battery overnight. Loungers that were moved or have gone missing are flagged before the pool opens.
Marker health and updates
Firmware updates arrive over the air. Battery level, radio health and last-seen time sit in the staff dashboard for every marker.
What Pro inherits from Easy.
Everything. The guest app, the staff dashboard, group booking, premium zones, shift pricing, loyalty segments, PMS integration and the audit log all come across untouched. Pro is Easy plus hardware, not a replacement product.
Annual licence, hardware included.
You do not buy markers separately. Minimum term is 24 months, because the markers are physical assets amortised over the term.
For an owner who wants the deck to look after itself and is comfortable committing to two seasons.
- everything in Boutique Easy
- markers and gateway
- NFC tap to confirm
- self-correcting map
- shade forecasting
- offline enforcement
For an operations director carrying several decks who needs the map right without asking staff to maintain it.
- everything in Resort Easy
- everything in Boutique Pro
- multi-gateway deployment
- priority support · 4h
For a hotel group or cruise line standardising the guest experience across every property, on one contract.
- marine-grade markers
- multi-ship or multi-property
- named support engineer
- annual on-site audit
Where the hardware sits in the price
Pro costs twice the Easy rate per lounger, and that difference is the hardware. The markers and the offline gateway are covered by the licence rate over a three-year hardware life, so there is no separate hardware invoice, no deposit and no installation fee. Boutique Pro is €72 per lounger per year against €36 for Boutique Easy; Resort Pro is €48 against €24.
Because the kit is paid for through the licence, Pro carries a 24 month minimum term. Markers are expected to last five years or more, and any that fail inside the term are replaced at no charge. Easy has no hardware and no commitment beyond the season.
Pricing confirmed on request during pilot phase.
Easy or Pro? Here is the honest difference.
Both run the same guest app, the same staff dashboard and the same reservation logic. The difference is what happens when a lounger moves.

How you will be invoiced.
One invoice, per venue, per term
Easy is invoiced once before the season opens, at the per-lounger rate multiplied by the lounger count agreed at signature. Year-round properties are invoiced annually at the same rate. Pro is invoiced annually with the hardware inside the rate, on a 24-month minimum term.
What is not on the invoice
No share of what the deck earns, no per-booking fee, no per-guest fee and no charge for the guest app. Card fees on guest payments are charged by the payment provider directly to the property. Groups can consolidate several venues onto a single agreement and a single invoice.
Payment terms, purchase order references and VAT treatment are agreed in writing before the first invoice is raised. Prices are per lounger and stated excluding VAT.
SunDibs is in its first pilot season. Where this page gives a number, it is either sourced or labelled as a target.
Start with a free map of your deck.
Send us an overhead photo and we'll set up your pool map before the first call. No commitment, and your first Dibs can open the same day.
